After lots of failed prints and wasted filament on loading failures , I stopped everything and looked into root causes. Beside some MMU issues , I've concluded that the standard IR flag is part of the problem ... in my configuration anyway. I've played with some of the alternatives on Thingiverse , but none worked for me in all conditions. So I've designed an adjustable version.
You'll need 3 M1.4 x 6 screws. Two to fix the flag and one for adjustments. I used screws from this set :

As with the original , you'll need a 3mm drill to enlarge the hole for the door pivot. Go easy on this one , make sure you don't make it to wide.
The flag piece is small and quite fragile, be careful when you remove it from the plate.
I've finished a couple of multi-color prints with this contraption , no problems so far. I've included the STEP file , if you want to tinker.
