Buddy

Here is my design of the board game "Le Passe Trappe" (also known as Flitzpuck). It's a fast and addictive game for two players.

The print contains all required parts, the only extra hardware needed is a rubber band (I've used a hair rubber from my girlfriend).

The game can be folded so you can take it along easily.

As this prints on the whole printbed, I've modeled in custom brims for better adhesion. There are no extra supports needed and the color changes are all layer based (no MMU needed).

Assembly guide:

  1. Print all of the provided .3mf or .gcode files. I've used a color change for the board pieces.
  2. Remove the custom brims.
  3. Install the elastic band and make a knot on one side. You can either choose the first hole (recommended) or the second one for more tension (for me the first works best).
  4. Push the band through the hole on the other side and also make a knot.
  5. Cut away any overhanging rubber band.
  6. Install the Cover caps.
  7. Put together both pieces and install the Pins on the hinges. The Pins need to be pressed all the way in.

Rules:

  • At the start of the game, both players place their disks anywhere they like on their side as long as they are not blocking the central passageway.
  • The players simultaneously use the elastic band to flick the disks through the passageway to the opponent's side.
  • The first player to have no more stones on his side wins the game!

You can also make up your own rules if you like.

Watch a little video here to see the game in action!

Changelog:

25/05/2020: Revised and changed the hinges to be more rigid
04/03/2020: Added a printable handle that goes into the openings when folded

Have fun!
