Holder for table soccer foosballs with 36 mm diameter.

Update (April 2020):
I made this thing parametric (see scad file). Therefore you can set diameter of foosball, how many balls to stack, how many columns you want to use and more.
It would be great to see a make, because I didn't made a print of this model myself. Just verified the sliced model to be as expected.
Have fun and happy printing :-)

Print instructions

I got a Table-soccer on my birthday - yeah!

After assembling it, I figured out that having something nicer than a cardboard box to store all my foosballs would be great!

I couldn't find a solution here, therefore I build one :-)

It's design for balls with 36mm diameter. Some of my foosballs got slightly bigger diameters it seams, therefore I increased the size of the holes slightly.

Notes:

  • Multicolor MMU2S isn't required. Just used it to give the lower bed (5mm) a different color.
  • I used supports just for the hanging endings, configuring "overhang threshold" to 10 percent. After printing I would recommend using 20%... Might be saver ^^
  • Dimension in mm: 197 x 80 x 80
  • Print time was about 12 hours.

Tools used:

  • FreeCAD: great tool to design things :-)
  • OpenSCAD: just got started using this one. Its great! ...guess my coding style is improvable though...
  • PrusaSlicer: its getting better and better :-)
  • MMU2S: Working still pretty reliable - great!

Room for improvement:

  • Add optional wall mount to the model
  • Idea was obviously to pick out the foosballs at the bottom. Actually it is easier to pick them out from top...
Therefore channel could be closed down to the bottom
  • In case you would like to pick out the foosballs from the bottom, it would be easier with kind of openings to it's sides - like it is the case for the corner columns.
  • Height could be reduced. Smaller would work for two balls per column as well...
  • Hmmm, I could put a nice foosball pattern to the surfaces...
