If you're like me, you probably have a few (if not more) empty filament spools lying around.

This "thing" transforms those empty spools into dreidels.

Notes:

This thing is designed for my empty spools all have a 2 inch opening. If your spools differ, your slicer should allow you to re-scale for your opening

Post-Printing

Assembly Instructions

  1. Print one bottom, one threaded rod and one top
  1. Twist the rod into the bottom as far as it will go
* Do not over tighten
* I find that I can tighten these by hand, but the hole at the end of the rod should fit a 1/4" or 6 mm Allen key
  1. Pass the other end of the threaded rod through the opening in your spool holder
  1. Twist the top onto the rod until the whole assembly turns as a single unit
* Be sure to align the flat sides of the top with the flat sides of the bottom
  1. Twirl
    I have a big fat dreidel.
    It's made from PLA.
    When my print job cools,
    Oh dreidel I shall play.
