This is a remix of my original geared visualizer. I have repositioned the secondary gear because I realiser that it would hit the top of my enclosure if I ever printed something that required the full height capacity. I have also made the secondary gear bigger wich accentuates the 2 to 1 gear movement a lot more.
I have added a Mount for a triple gear visualiser that uses the small gear from my original design as a third gear.
I also added a couple of gear designs.
This visualiser is a bit more interesting to watch than your standard visualizer. It has a 2 to 1 gear ration wich accentuates the extruder motor rotation (the second gear spins twice as fast as the first gear.
It works really well , just make sure your parts are free of blobs and clean excessive stringing to prevent gear jamming.
Just pick a gear no.1 a gear no.2 and if you are using the triple mount, you will also need gear no.3.
You will need to glue a 8X3mm magnet on the back of the gear no.1.
Gears no.2 and no.3 are held in place with the printed c-clip.
The mount just snaps on to the extruder motor.
There are a couple of gcode included for the dual gear including on with a color change for a bit of contrast…and I also included gcodes for the triple gear with the same difference.
of course as always STLs are all there for those who want to slice their own.
Enjoy!
P.S. The mount has one of the legs shorter to accomodate the Delta-P fan duct Mod on my printer but will function just fine with the stock fan setup.
Post your Makes!
