I do not recommend using these bases for anything other than bipedal 'mechs and infantry. The Hex size for the Quads and Vehicles are too big for good gameplay. I have taken to gluing the unbased 'mechs and vehicle mini's to 2 1/2 inch wide hexes that are 1/8 inch or 3 mm thick. N scale works great for Alpha Strike! A few years back, Wiz Kids games published a very popular collectible miniatures game set in the BattleTech Universe. When the game went out of fashion, tons of miniatures were left behind. However, BattleTech and Alpha Strike need a hexagonal base for some of the rules.
These pieces will allow you to snap in your Mechwarrior: Dark Age and related figures without having to permanently change the base. However, if you want to glue your pieces in place, that will work, too.
The Vehicle Base is not right, the pocket is not wide enough for the bases.

How I Designed This ===================Design Notes
I modeled this in Cubify Invent.
3D Printing is not the only way to make these parts: A Laser Cutter with 3/16 inch or 5 mm material will do well, too.The top has a slight chamfer to make it easier to make a mold for producing lots of copies.
