Recently the weather got very nice here and my friend opened their office window. Not a big deal except then the temperature dropped from 70F (21C) to 20F (-7C) and snowing overnight. We have known that the window locking latch has been broken for years. Takes 2 - 3 people to lock the window. Why might you ask? Because the little guide clip between the window frame and window that swings out was broken and the rod/rail swings freely instead of riding in the channel and locking the window shut.
This is a beefed-up version of that clip. I didn't verify a lot of things about it other than I installed it and locked the window. What I mean about not verifying is I didn't check the actual seal of the window I may have made it too loose. But compared to swinging freely and letting snow in this is a WINNER!!!
UPDATE: Added photos to show the original and have verified the size. It is a perfect fit next to the original so I will call that a proper fit. I call this done and am replacing the broken ones all over the house.
