Having something fancy for a single item, for that this shelf is the right thing. One could use it as a key holder, hold your wifi acccess point, or in my case, to hold the elixir of life, a pack of cofffee. The current design should be stable enough to hold up to 1kg permanently (checks with 1.5kg were less reassuring). For long term use, PETG better than PLA, since PLA gets brittle over time and might break under constant load.
Category | Setting | Comment |
---|---|---|
Nozzle | any | in range 0.25-0.8mm none should be problematic (tested with 0.4mm) |
Layer height | 0.1-0.2mm | although bigger layer heights are probably not problematic, a small layer height improves the result a lot |
dimensions | 4.7cm x 15cm | non-uniformal scaling is possible to suit to your needs |
support structure | none | there are overhangs, but not visible from the front, additionally if small layer height is used, distortions should be minimal |
perimeter | 3 | only recommendation, but helps stability |
infill | 10-50% | |
material | all nonflex materials work | |
complexity | medium | not very tricky to print, but small layer height helps |
extra items | screws | for a full make you need 2 screws to mount it on the wall. |
