This is a windmill model that I've made for the board game, Scythe. I figured that it would be fun to have 3d printed models to replace all of the wooden building tokens that the game comes with, so I made this model (and will hopefully be able to make models for the other buildings as well). You'll need 5 (or 7, for Invaders from Afar) of these.

When you print this, you'll need some support for the windmill blade at about 2:00. I used meshmixer and got a couple of trees there (running parallel to the 5:00 blade) and it worked fine. The other 3 blades should not need support, although the 7:00 blade is pretty sensitive to disturbations while it's being built, as it's only held up by the "steam whistle" until it gets to the hub.

I've found that this prints better if you rotate it so that its long axis is in line with the moving axis of your printer bed. In the case of my Prusa, that means that I need to rotate it 90 degrees so that the Windmill is facing to the right (or -90 degrees to face the left), so that the sides of the blades will be along the Y axis.

I've posted a small gallery of photos of my scythe upgrades onto my blog at http://objectforge.blogspot.com/p/scythe-upgrades.html, so feel free to check it out if you're interested!

If you don't want to print this yourself, it may be available from one of my 3D Printing Partners listed at https://objectforge.blogspot.com/p/3d-printing-partners.html!
