Fed up with using the cardboard box my printer accessories came in, I designed this clip-on tray to hold plyers, glue stick, allen keys, wipe sachets and other small items.

Designed to fit the profile of the Prusa i3 MK3S+ V-slot linear rail at the base of the printer, the small connector pieces hook into the slot of the rail. No nuts, bolts or screws are required. The tray sits on your work surface and is prevented from sliding away.

Printed in separate pieces to avoid the need for supports, assembly is simple. Just glue the connector pieces into the locating recesses in the wall of the tray. It is important the connectors are fixed the right way up – the “pimple” on each connector identifies the upper surface. A couple of tiny dots of superglue and the job’s a good ‘un.

For added strength, the hook end of the connectors is printed with 100% infill.

This is the tray for the left side of the printer. For a tray for the right side, just mirror the tray along the X axis.

Obsessively tidy, me.
