Some time ago I did two Pitan (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2728600) extruders for my printers. These extruders worked very well, but I wanted know if is possible migrate from a Pitan to a Titan e3d cloned.

So I based my research from this thing https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1727220

I tried to reuse the most count possible of materials, but nevertheless was necessary buy an aditional bearing to use into the idler.

List of materials:

Instalation:

It is too easy and intuitive to install, just follow the pictures but remember: there are just 2 things you must not forget:

  1. Add the M3 nut below body
  2. Adjust the M3x8 screw to hold the body

Updates:

v1.0.0: 2019 - 09 - 15

Warning: This project is still in progres, I could make works this extruder, but at this moment is a bit difficult to tighten the screws when the top is placed.

Also the turn beetween the gears are not too smoth

I am working in these improves.

v1.0.1: 2019 - 09 - 17

I performed some changes to improve the distance between gears, now the turn is much smooth. I think definitively there is not risk to use the extrusor. Feel free to test it :D

v1.1.0: 2019 - 09 - 21

Uploaded Mirrored versions.

v1.2.0: 2019 - 10 - 1

Added mount to use direct extrusion with Ender 3 (Use mirrored parts for this).

v1.2.1: 2020 - 04 - 16

Reinforced the spring container. After seven months I noted that the PLA had some cracks on that part.
