I've built yet another Prusa i3 clone, and I decided to use mostly the parts from the Original Prusa i3 Mk2 for my printed parts. Well, some parts needed modification, and since I wanted to use my MendelMax's E3D Titan instead of the stock extruder setup...
This is designed to mount a ~2cm "pancake" stepper motor and E3D Titan extruder onto the Prusa i3 Mk2's X carriage. The X carriage I use started out life as the one available for the Original Prusa i3 Mk2. All I did was chop parts from the top and bottom that related to the stock extruder.
On my machine, this mount (with near-stock X ends and carriage for the Mk2) gives me a build height of ~190mm and full access to the 213x200mm glass plate that I print on.
The extruder motor mount can easily lose a millimeter on either side, to more snugly fit the motor. It works perfectly fine as-is though.
The hobbed gear for the extruder has approximately a millimeter between it and the mount. If your printer over-extrudes, you may need to file this a bit to let the gear turn freely.
Caveat emptor, as I don't actually own an Original Prusa i3 Mk2 to test this on.
