I had 28mm wooden pole left over from some project, so I modified jasonharper's brackets to fit them. I also made back plates to work as washers and countersunk for wood screws I had around. Back plate also has label of what is inside. There are ready versions for PLA, ABS, PET-G and Flex. Also included is back plate with no label.

Smaller version of bracket holds easily 5kg of filament and is faster to print than the original.

Remember to drill holes to the container, those type of boxes crack easily if you screw through them. Insert Silica gel to the bottom of the box, since your spools are hanging from the pole, you can pour silica gel pellets in there without any containment which weaken the effect of it.

You can also add print straight from this storage box, either with just opening the lid or do this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2172384
