80mm Contact Poi with Knob Handles

These are 80mm contact poi made with TPU. The handles are made with PLA. The rope I used is about 8.5mm or 1/3inch but you can make a variety of thicknesses work.

To bond the two sphere halves together I used clear RTV Silicone. Do this after you have installed the rope using a simple knot to keep it attached. I also added some silicone to the knot to keep it secured to the poi and unable to slide around. I would also recommend adding some weight inside. Pennies or washers work well. Be sure to secure them to the inside of the poi with more silicone so that they don't shake around during play.

For the handles I used a large washer to add some weight and then tied a knot in the rope and used a bit of silicone to secure it all to the handle.

I printed the poi with the inside facing down and supports enabled. I used 4 layers for the walls. For the knobs I print them with the small hole against the bed
