I wanted to do something fun w/ an Arduino & the 3D Printer, so I thought a motion detection Piranha Plant fro Super Mario Brothers would be fun! I made the parts pretty simple, so if anyone would like to adjust them it should be easy enough. This is my first "mechanical design", Enjoy! Almost everything can be 3D Printed, but you will need the following:
An adhesive (I used a hot glue gun)
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sonar Distance Sensor
MG995 Servo
SG90 Micro Servo (2)
Arduino Pro Mini
A soldering Iron
Jumper Cables for connections
USB Cable
Wire Strippers
NOTE: I specified these parts, because the plant was designed to fit these parts snug. Also, due to the imperfections of 3D Printing, you will need to sand the edges of the parts to make them smooth.
NOTE: For the code I used, please feel free to message me and I will send it over. It's just a simple file I created for people to easily tweak as needed.
I printed all the pieces w/ Solutech Clear PLA @ 218C.
Print Bed : 70C
Print Speed : 50mm/s
Experimental Tree Supports (Cura)
The Stem should be printed with the smaller round in face down, and printing w/ a raft really helped.
The cover can be printed upside down to save on print time and support material.
