Traditional house form expresses the relationship between man and society. Delo house form is characterized by its consistency over a long period of time and strong integration between the built environment and patterns of life. The statue documented is part of a Delo located in Fedara village in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat in Western India. It is the bracket supporting the superstructure of a house from. Locally called "Putli", this statue narrates the story of the Rajput lifestyle and culture of the family. The statue here shows a warrior armed with his weapons which is a depiction of a Rajput warrior. It is hand carved by the carpenter of the village who was believed to be one of the few, knowing the rich art of wood sculpting.
