Description
In this wooden stele, Ankh-auf-mut, identified by the hieroglyphs above him as the son of SA-Amon, the priest of Amen, is offering flowers to Osiris, king and judge of the underworld. Osiris, seated on a low chair, wears a sun-disk flanked by ostrich plumes and holds the flail and the crook, symbols of power. An offering table laden with gifts stands between the two figures. At the top of the stele are the scarab-beetle god Khepri flanked by adoring baboons.
