I think print infills are for most of us a bit mysterious. We all have a favourite, which we think is better, faster, stronger, than the others, but it’s mostly based on our instincts. No real facts, mostly just feelings.

I wanted to see, know and prove, which is the best! So I went for a new kind of infill project, that I haven’t seen yet. Here is it:

- took a spool of eSun 95A TPU

- prepared 16 cubes sized 30x30x30mm

- no perimeters, no top layers

- only 2 bottom layers (max 0,4mm total)

- allocated all Prusaslicer infills to one cube with 15% infill

And I think the results are impressive.

The two stiffest ones are cubic and gyroid, but cubic is stiffer and much faster! Printing the same size of infill takes 50% longer with gyroid (have a look at the attached chart).

The conclusion:

- Cubic is the stiffest one! And as it is very filament efficient and quite quick, this is my new favourite!

- if you look for filament efficient option, go for adaptive cubic. It’s still quite strong, but very quick and efficient!

I hope it helps you all! 😉
