This toolmaker's style vise uses a short screw angled into the base that pulls the jaw both down and forward. The screw head at the base-end fits into a cylindrical cam that can be repositioned to one of several notches to give it an overall range of 0 - 3.5". The jaws are 1.25" deep x 2.5" wide. You'll need a 2.75" long hex head 1/4-20 bolt and nut, (or 75mm long M6 bolt and nut) to complete the assembly. Mounting holes in the base for either 10-32 or M5 socket cap screws have a 1.5 x 1.5" spacing.

I've included a model for replaceable jaws, but shown in the photos are aluminum jaws I made (1.125 x 2.5 x 0.125") that are more durable.
