I'm doing a 36"x10.5" hobby table with a ¼" or 5/16" T-bolt system, crosses and straights. The straight pieces are 8" but you could alter them as you need.
I added alternate stl's for pieces with a slightly tighter fit with the T-bolts. My first version is a little loose…still works just fine, I just feel like a little less slop would be better. These are called “Tighter”.
Edit: I've tried and the original slots work for both size T-bolts, but the 5/16" is a better fit in the original size. If you print out the “tighter” version, it will ONLY fit ¼" T-bolts.
The "Track Cleaner" piece is for making sire the tracks are clear of support debris and that everything slides well. It also works for aligning the pieces during installation.
One possibly nice side-effect is with the original size and ¼" t-bolts the fixtures can be dropped into the track at the crosses. Otherwise, you have to leave the ends open and slide all of your fixtures in and out from the ends.
Edit: I've started adding fixtures (stops, clamps, etc.). I am making the fixtures for the original version of the tracks (the wider version) and rolling with 5/16" T-bolts, so if you go with the “Tighter” version you'll need to adjust your fixture designs to fit.
The fixture file names called “1-4” use ¼" bolts and the "5-16" use 5/16". Generally speaking, I am using ¼" hardware above the track and 5/16" in the track.
I'm doing all of my own thumb screw caps, but you could certainly source those if you prefer.
2-21-22: added slot fillers for when the t-slot system is not in use.
