If you have your printer in an enclosure in most of the cases the filament is placed outside.
Since I had a 19" server rack available and had some space left on the top, I wanted to include an easy to replace filament spool holder inside the enclosure.
The space above allowed this only, if the filament is placed flat on a spool holder, with the advantage that also 2,5kg spools easily fit in there.
With a reverse bowden setup you can then direct the filament right where you need it (e.g. MMU or directly to the printer)

Update March/10 2022: Added Filament Guide_Long for even larger Spools

Printed Parts:

  • 3x arm_[3x].stl
  • 1x arm_guide.stl
  • 1x centerpiece.stl
  • 1x table.stl
  • 1x filamentguide.stl or filamentguide_long.stl

Other parts beside the printed parts:

  • 4x 608ZZ bearings
  • 1x PC4-M10 fitting connector
  • 1x M3x12 screw

Print instructions:

  • 0,2mm layer height
  • 5 top layers, 4 bottom layers
  • 3 perimeters with a 0,4mm nozzle
  • infill 40% for the arms, 20% for the rest
  • Material: ABS or PETG if palced inside an enclosure, PLA is ok if it isplaced outside enclosure

Assembly instructions:

  1. Place the 608ZZ bearings on the arms and put all arms together to form a cross
  2. Push down the centerpiece through the 4 center holes to lock the arms together
  3. Slide the table down the centerpiece. The table should now hold on top of the bearings and easily rotate. The centerpiece ensures, that the table does not shift sideways
  4. Put the PC4-M10 fitting connector in the filament guide. One of the arms has a cutout for the filament guide  slide thefilament guide in and fasten it with a M3x12 screw from the bottom
