Arthrostic: your fully parametric, artistic finger splint

When you suffer from arthrosis, like myself, a finger splint can bring some relief. But most splints in the market are ugly, stupid and way overpriced. Also: they come only in standard sizes and are far from comfortable.

So I decided to design my own finger splint. One that would make me feel proud wearing it, instead of trying to hide it.

I print them in transparent PETG. Some sanding and polishing gives it a beautiful look. Don't use PLA: it will break.

Attached you find some exempels of splints I made for myself and others. Please feel free to use the FreeCAD-file to create one that fits your personal preferences.

=> You only need to change the values in the Variables table, the splint will change accordingly. Just fiddle around and see what happens. Messed up the file? No problem: throw it away and download it again.

Print instruction:

• Print with PETG or any other strong filament, 100% infill
• Print with the two legs to the bed
• Use ample supports
