Description
This is a fragment of the entablature from the courtyard colonnades of the sanctuary of Jupiter Heliopolitanus. This name signified the god's importance in different areas and cults. Heliopolitanus was a form of Baal, which was a title and honorific meaning "lord" in the Northwest Semitic languages spoken in the Levant during antiquity.
