  • Modified minute hand to fit drive shaft tighter, reducing backlash.
  • Modified drive shaft to better fit the case.

For those just wanting to update a clock, print the following parts:

  • Gear Train: upper and lower idler gears, upper and lower drive gear, drive shaft.
  • Minute Hand 

Original Post:

  • This is a remix of the Robust Teaching Clock over on Thingiverse.
  • Gears were updated with spur gears generated by Fusion 360.
  • Face updated with two options: inlaid or raised markings.
  • Drive gears update with ā€œDā€ shaft to ensure proper assembly.
  • Assembly alignment dots added to ensure proper gear placement.
  • About 9 hours total print time.

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Perimeters: 3
  • Infill: 15% rectilinear
  • Supports: no
  • Rafts: No
  • Elephant's Foot Compensation: Set to Zero for the inlaid minute marks.
Assembly:
  • Screws required:  8 M3-10 socket head or M3-12 Flat Head.
