K8200/3Drag E3D v6 HotEnd extruder mount for 40mm fan

40mm fan mount for the All-Metal E3D v6 Hot-End to Velleman K8200/3Drag standard filament extruder.

Fan duct snap on reusing original extruder screws and spacers, optimized for robustness and easy print.

The 40mm fan is more quit than the standard 30mm standard.
I just ordered the Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX 40mm fan with noise level below 18dB(A), but there are other solutions out there...

Please post your experiences with this fan duct.

Instructions

Print with fan mounting holes against bed.

For assembly you will need:

• 40mm standard 10mm wide case cooler fan or the one from Noctua
• 4x counter sink wood screws 2.9x19mm
• 2x M3x5mm screws for easy spacer mount (optional)

Assembly shown on picture.

Print Settings

• 0.30mm layer height, 50% infill
• 2 perimeters, 3 top and 2 bottom layers
• No support needed
