IKEA SOCKER greenhouse LED light strip holder

A LED light strip holder for IKEA SOCKER mini greenhouse(701.866.03).

The holder come in two parts, a left and a right. If you want to put LED strips on both sides, like I did, you need two of each. I uploaded a couple of different sizes depending on how wide your LED strip is.

TIP: Screw a small screw in the hole for the center rod to keep it from falling out as can be seen in the last picture.

Light Bleed blockers

To prevent the individual LEDs to be seen inside the greenhouse through the side of the holder I printed some light bleed blockers in black and glued them with CA inside the holder. You could also line the inside of the holder with aluminum foil to prevent light bleed and increase the reflection and the usable light but I found it too fiddly.

The light bleed blockers are 2mm wide so take that in consideration when choosing size.

Ex: Your light strips are 8mm wide and you want to use the light bleed blockers so you print the 10mm version of the holders.

If you want to print the light bleed blockers in place with your multi material printer, use the ones marked MM, as the normal ones have some tolerances added.
