This is just another 2020 extrusion mount for the Raspberry Pi 2 and 3.

It is just a simple design made using FreeCAD to fit my Tronxy X5 printer enhancements. There are probably other and better solutions for this, but this works for me.

The Raspberry Pi can be mounted face up or face down using M2 screws and nuts. If you don´t have that kind of screws at hand (like me) simply use two or three cable ties to fixate the board.

When mounted on top there is no way to use a micro USB cable to power the board. This is intentional as it would face inwards and I use an ATX power supply anyway, so the pi gets powered using the GPIO pin array.

This mount got designed for the Raspberry Pi 3, but the version 2 should fit as well. The first Pi has an SD slot, which may not fit when mounted on top due to the stabilizer, but I do not recommend using a Pi1 with Octo-Print, anyway. Uploading gcode files takes ages and booting and using the camera is quite slow.

As always the FreeCAD source file is included, so you can easily any change you want.

Happy Printing
