This is a multi-part flower design. I intend to use this as a base model for flowers with different designs, but it can also be printed as is. Choose your own colours.
Printing Instructions
Material
I plan on displaying this outside so I used PETG, but you can use what ever material you think is appropriate.
Base
I printed with a 5mm brim to avoid warping.
Pedals
Print 12 pedals in total, you choose the colours. I printed the pedals two at a time with a 5mm brim.
Top
I printed with a 5mm brim to avoid warping.
Assembly Instructions
Since I intend to display this outside I used two part epoxy to glue it all together. This is my first time attempting this, I don’t know for sure how well it will work. You can use what ever you think is appropriate.
Pictures from each step of the process are included.
Step 1: Glue a saw tooth hanger to the cutout in the base.
Step 2: Glue 6 pedals for the bottom layer. Make sure you get your colours in the correct location.
Step 3: Glue the 6 pedals for the top layer. Make sure you get your colours in the correct location.
Step 4: Glue on the top piece. At this point I used a stack of books to press the whole object together while the glue sets.
