My first print upload so I hope I credited the correct people here. I really liked the concept of Makken104's filament guide. My printer is up above my desk so maybe my issues were unique to me, but I had some trouble getting it on and off the dual spool holder without removing the spool holder from the printer, each time having to unload the filament. I also had some trouble inserting the filament on the back side when it was already loaded. Great concepts though!
I created a new model and used the base dimensions from Makken104's design for the offsets since I'm not very familiar yet with the spool sizes. I redesigned the clip on mechanism to clip on easily in the 2nd position up with a snug fit, and moved the location of the entry/hoop-break point to the front for easier access. I also added some temporary filament holding holes on the front of each arm. The “M” in the middle is for Makken104, Cheers!
I printed in both Prusament PETG and PLA, 0.2mm Layer Height, 20% standard Gyroid infill pattern in PrusaSlicer 2.3.0. Orient Flat side down, no supports needed.
I know it fits on the MK3S+ but I'm unfamiliar with what other printers came with so if you have another and verify, please leave a comment so others know!
I look forward to hearing any feedback, tips, suggestions or improvements needed.
Thanks!
