This Thing lets you convert a piece of bungee cord into a general purpose adjustable, secure, yet easily undoable elastic fastener. They are often used to attach a bicycle to a car bike rack, but can be used in plenty of other situations, such as tying up intruders until the police arrive.
Get yourself some good quality elastic cord.
The STL here is designed for 5mm diameter elastic cord. If you have a different diameter cord, either scale the STL or jump into the SCAD and adjust accordingly.
Print out the connector.
In fact, print out several.
Cut your elastic cord to the desired length (about 70cm is good). Probably you want to melt the ends to prevent fraying.
Poke one end through the "short" side of the connector from the outside, tie a knot as close to the end as possible, and pull the cord back, so the knot nestles nicely in the connector.
Repeat for as many cords as you want.
Now, to use it, you wrap the cord around Your Thing (not this Thing), poke the free end of the cord through the connector and pull it such that it tightens. See the pictures if you still don't get it.
Take a photo and hit the "I made one" button.
You are done.
