India, 3500 BCE, Thursday morning, just before breakfast. In the Indus valley, the gods are preparing for war. They move armies of followers with each step, readying their forces against each other. As armies clash, and the world trembles, can you rally your forces to wage war with your fellow gods? In this game you play as one of six gods seeking to be the one god of the Indus Valley.
This is a submission on behalf of my son, it was originally part of his history assignment at school. He used a variety of software to develop the content; Inkscape (basic tile, script and logo design), OpenSCAD (tile extrusions), MagicaVoxel (character design) and Blender to pull it all together.
The original design allowed the follower tiles to be stacked but during play test we decided that this didn't really add anything to the game. So we have adjusted the tiles to be flatter, reduce the print times and save a little filament. We've added a new logo to the base tile which looks pretty good when printed in multiple colors. Lastly we've reworked a few of the character models to be a bit more robust, even so the dwarf and fish characters in particular need some care when removing the print supports. The follower tiles also look really good printed in two colors.
We've included a copy of our suggested rules, just add your favorite dice and you're good to go!
In case you're interested the Indus script featured on the follower tiles was inspired by text found on clay tablets from the Indus Valley in India and Pakistan. At the time of writing the meaning of this script remains undeciphered.
The author hasn't provided the model origin yet.
